Local historian Kim Jurkovic will offer a program on Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dover Library. During this program titled Who’s Related to Who? — The Titans of Dover — Part 2, Jurkovic will continue to look at the industrialists and business leaders of Dover.

The first program focused on the Deis, Baker and Hardesty families and their connection of marriages and business interests.

This time the program will start with the owners of the Big Four Opera house and look at that company and other business interests of the families involved in it including the Horns, Shafers and Beiters.

Jurkovic said, “It is not a prerequisite to have attended the last program to come and enjoy this one.”

Jurkovic is the local history librarian of the Dover Historical Society Archives, which are now located in the local history room of the Dover Public Library. The archives are open to the public every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Call Jurkovic at 330-343-6123 or email kjurkovic@doverlibrary.org. There also is a place on the Dover Public Library website to ask a question at www.doverlibrary.org/departments/adult-programs/local-history-room/.
