Local author Paul Stutzman will be at the Dover Public Library on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss “The Art of Writing.” He will read excerpts from his three most recent books: "Don’t Wait Too Long," "The Miracle Journey" and "The Cloud Factory," which is Stutzman’s first children’s book. He also will discuss strategies from his personal writing process.

Stutzman’s editor will be present and welcomes questions about the writing process.

Stutzman has found writing about his loss and his road to restoration has not only helped him, but also many others. He encourages everyone to put their personal stories down on paper before it is too late.

Stutzman was born and raised in Holmes County. After losing his wife to breast cancer, he decided to leave his job as a restaurant manager and go in search of peace, healing and freedom. He has authored many books including "The Wandering Home Series," "Hiking Through," "Biking Across America," "Mississippi Misadventure," "Pilgrims" and "Hiking Israel." He co-authored a book with Serena Miller titled "More Than Happy: The Wisdom of Amish Parenting."

In the future Stutzman plans to finish a second "Cloud Factory" book, an adventure novel and a devotional for men.

In addition to writing, Stutzman speaks to groups about his hiking and biking experiences and the lessons learned during these adventures.

This program will be held in the community room of the DPL at 525 N. Walnut St. in Dover. A book-signing will follow the presentation. Books cost $15 each or all three for $40, cash only.
