Spring Hill Historic Home will host an outdoor concert series, Concerts on the Hill, in June, July and August featuring various bluegrass, folk/Americana and blues artists in Northeast Ohio.

The first concert will take place Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. and will feature Front Porch Band of Berea. These concerts are free and open to the public, and some concessions will be available for purchase.

The Front Porch Band consists of Beth Hiser, vocals, upright bass and fiddle; Mark Mattern, vocals, mandolin and fiddle; Kelly Coble, vocals, guitar and mandolin; and Steve Hollender, vocals, guitar, banjo and harmonica.

Front Porch plays old-time mountain fiddle tunes, folk, bluegrass, country and traditional blues and has performed at many venues including Burning River Fest, Brothers Wine Bar and the Riverdog. The band also regularly performs at local/community venues such as public libraries, churches, music festivals, retirement communities and local pubs.

Two additional concerts will take place mid-July and mid-August and will be announced with details shortly.

Spring Hill Historic Home is located at 1401 Springhill Lane NE, near the intersection of Wales Road and Lake Avenue. Parking is available onsite in the parking lot near the entrance. Guests should bring their own lawn chair or blanket for seating, and some picnic tables will be available near concessions.

There is a short and partially inclined walk from the parking lot to the performance seating area.
