Family fun and praise and worship music will unite to create an evening of food, games and worship at the upcoming Family Fun Night on Saturday, June 25 at 4 p.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church.

The evening is designed to raise funds for the Pleasant View Mennonite Church annual Operation Christmas Child event. For a suggested cost of $25, people can pack a shoe box that will be sent to a child in another country. PV will provide the shoe boxes and a variety of toys and personal care items from which people can pick to pack their box.

Another option is to provide a donation that will go to help cover the shipping cost of the boxes, with that suggested price at $9 per box.

The Family Fun Night event will feature food trucks with chicken, burgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, homemade ice cream and more. In addition, the Travel Bean Coffee Co. will be on hand to dole out coffee.

The food vendors and games featuring cornhole, a jump house for the kids and nine squares will kick off at 4 p.m.

The evening will then switch to a new venue at 5 p.m., when a series of performers will take center stage. Those attending are invited to bring a blanket or lawn chair for an evening of music on the hillside. Included in the lineup are the PV worship team, High Country Bluegrass, Jeanie Miller and County Line.

Pleasant View Mennonite Church is located at 3391 U.S. Route 62 between Berlin and Winesburg.
