The public is invited to meet recently published Dover author Adrian “Ade” Schaar at a book-signing reception on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Dover First Moravian Church.

The church is located at 319 N. Walnut St. on the corner of Fourth Street. There is ample parking, and the building is accessible to individuals who use a wheelchair. Refreshments will be served.

Copies of “David of Muskrat Bottom,” a narrative of Schaar’s journey from boyhood through military service in the Vietnam War and its delayed aftermath, will be available for purchase, and he’ll sign copies. The book also is available on Amazon.

Written by a “boomer,” this memoir traverses through childhood shenanigans, teenage tomfooleries, and the good and bad times of young adulthood in the military, ending with the author’s current perspective of what’s gone before and what’s ahead.

With humor and articulating Schaar’s constant faith, “David of Muskrat Bottom” is an entertaining, thought-provoking story of the life of a small-town boy.
