Business After Hours to celebrate hospice’s 40th

The Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its next Business After Hours on July 14 at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster, to help celebrate two special occasions.

Not only will it mark Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice’s 40th year, but also the event will recognize the opening of the Mark E. Gustafson Center for Supportive Care from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Chamber Heath Insurance Programs 101, an educational webinar, will feature Nancy Kuzenko on Tuesday, July 19 at 1 p.m. Health insurance benefits are often cited as a key factor in employee recruitment and retention, and viewers can learn about the chamber’s health insurance programs. Kuzenko is an account executive with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

After two years with no in-person meetings, the Wooster Area Safety Council will make a full return on Wednesday, July 27.

Fire Chief Barry Saley of the Wooster Division of Fire will be the speaker at the meeting, which is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church’s Bruch Hall, 621 College Ave., Wooster.

Saley will present How to Avoid Heat-related Illnesses and Death. Guests will learn about heat exhaustion, heat stroke and safety tips to avoid heat-related illnesses.

The cost is $20 for chamber members and $25 for nonmembers and includes lunch. To register, go to
