A three-day Vacation Bible School called The Knights of God’s Kingdom will be June 8-10 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Killbuck Church of Christ at the bottom of the School House Hill, and a second three-day VBS to wrap up the summer will be July 27-29 at the Killbuck United Methodist Church on Main Street. Participants will learn about God’s kingdom.

On each Wednesday from June 15 through July 20, the Armor of God will be explored from 10 a.m. to noon at the Rec Center on the School House Hill. Kids will learn about the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit. There will be a special guest each Wednesday assisting in the building of a knight at the Rec Center, and there also will be music, crafts and games, and a breakfast at 10 a.m. and lunch at the closing at noon.

This is a community event sponsored by the Killbuck Church of Christ, Killbuck United Methodist, Killbuck Valley Christian Church and the Wolfcreek Baptist Church. Also assisting with the summer program are the Glenmont Food Pantry, the Church of God and the Love Center.

The program requires lots of volunteers, and one much appreciated volunteer is Pauline Roberts of Millersburg. Roberts will handle the breakfast program.

Roberts will turn 96 in August and plans on starting a month of celebration the first day of August. She said she never quit serving the Lord and always keeps going, and she attributes peanut butter as part of her good health and ability to lead such an active life.

This program is open to all youths. For more information call 330-763-4483.
